My aim with this project was to create a minimalistic studio apartment, themed around a large display wall of outdoors equipment and an open floor plan.

Modelled in Autodesk Maya, I began by primarily using primitive polygons, however, I used this project to learn more about specific techniques, such as n-cloths, used for all of the soft furnishings in the design.

I found that using a large number of spotlights put pressure on the render, creating noise, so instead opted to use a sky dome for the majority of the renders.

One of my favourite points of this design is the bed ladder integrated with the desk and the bathroom door, with the ladder slats slotting in above and below the desk when the door is opened, saving valuable space.
